Maximising your Klaviyo & Shopify integration: The quick fix you need

If you’re using Klaviyo for email marketing and Shopify for your e-commerce store, you’ll want to make sure your integration is set up correctly. Klaviyo rolled out a new Shopify integration last year, and if you see a blue box in your settings, you need to take action.

I’ve noticed this on several accounts I’ve audited recently, and the fix is incredibly simple. Here’s what you need to do:

How to update your Klaviyo integration

  1. Go to Integrations > Shopify

  2. Click Get Started

  3. Then click OK

That’s it! In just 30 seconds, you’ll start pulling in even more data about your customers.

Why this matters

With this quick update, you’ll have access to deeper insights, including:

  • What collections your customers are viewing

  • What items they’re adding to their cart

  • What they’re searching for on your site

It’s like getting a behind-the-scenes look at how your customers shop. Pretty powerful (and a little creepy, in the best way).

How to use this data to make more sales

Once this integration is fully updated, you can leverage the additional data to:

Set up or improve abandoned cart flows – target customers who added items but didn’t check out.

Create abandoned collection flows – re-engage visitors who browsed specific collections but didn’t buy.

Personalise your campaigns – send hyper-relevant offers based on customer behaviour.

The power of an email audit

This is just one of the easy wins I uncover when auditing Klaviyo accounts. Often, there are overlooked platform tools that can make a significant impact on your revenue.

When you book an audit (which I recommend making an annual event!), you’ll walk away with an in-depth action plan packed with quick wins that will help you ✔️ make more sales from your current list ✔️ Grow your email list with engaged subscribers ✔️ Optimise your email strategy for better conversions

If you haven’t checked your Klaviyo integration settings recently, now’s the time. And if you’re ready to take your email marketing to the next level, an audit might be exactly what you need.
