Why an abandoned cart flow isn’t enough: The 3 Klaviyo flows you’re missing

If you’re relying on just an Abandoned Cart flow (which, let’s be real, is probably actually an Abandoned Checkout flow), then you’re missing out on a massive opportunity to recover lost sales.

Most shoppers don’t even make it to checkout before getting distracted.

Kids need attention. 📩 Work emails pull them away. 🍽️ Dinner’s ready. 📱 Another tab steals their focus.

They leave from product pages, collection pages, and even the homepage—long before they ever hit checkout. And if you’re only recovering abandoned checkouts, you’re missing a huge chunk of potential buyers.

The flows you actually need to recover more sales

To maximise revenue, make sure you have these essential Klaviyo flows in place:

1️⃣ Abandoned browse flow

What it does: This flow brings back shoppers who looked at a product but didn’t add it to their cart. They showed interest, but for some reason, they didn’t take the next step.

How it works: Send a reminder email featuring the products they viewed, along with personalised recommendations. A little nudge can go a long way!

2️⃣ Abandoned Collection Flow

What it does: This targets shoppers who browsed a category or collection but didn’t add anything to their cart.

How it works: Show them bestsellers from the collection they viewed, highlight a limited-time offer, or use dynamic content to personalize recommendations.

3️⃣ Abandoned Cart Flow

What it does: Sends follow-up emails to shoppers who did add to cart but left before completing their purchase.

How to optimise it: Many brands overlook the power of urgency. Add a countdown timer, feature customer reviews, or offer a limited-time discount to seal the deal.

💡 Bonus Tip: Set Up an Exit-Intent Flyout Form
While not technically a flow, this form captures potential customers before they leave your site. You can use it to collect emails, offer a discount, or remind them why your product is a must-have.

Don’t Let Klaviyo Fall to the Bottom of Your To-Do List

Let’s be real—Klaviyo setup often gets pushed aside. You probably followed the basic setup prompts, added a welcome flow and a pop-up, and told yourself you’d come back later to optimise it.

But between running ads, packing orders, and keeping up with the latest TikTok trends, later never really happens.

That’s where we come in.

Clicks & Flows is our done-for-you Klaviyo build (or rebuild) service designed for time-poor, scaling Shopify founders who want results on repeat.
