Black Friday prep for small businesses: August

You got the ball rolling in July with your Q4 and BFCM (Black Friday Cyber Monday) prep. The focus for July was brainstorming and idea-generating but August is when we start to put those ideas into a plan. If you haven’t completed your July Prep for BFCM, do those things before moving to August’s to-do list.

What to do in August:

❑ Determine your BFCM offer: You brainstormed ideas last month, choose your offer by the end of this month

❑ Continue to check your Deliverability score in Klaviyo (has it improved if you made changes last month?)

❑ A/B Test your sign-up forms to improve performance (aim for at least a 6% Form Submit Rate. If you're not getting that, book an audit)

❑ Book any photoshoots / mini shoots you need to get imagery for your sale emails. You chose your vibe last month, now it's time to start planning and getting graphic assets ready

❑ Plan your product launches: Make a list of what products are launching and approximately when

❑ Check-in on your core flows (or build them) if you haven't yet

❑ A/B test campaigns

Next month we dive into planning and getting emails into the schedule, so make sure you've got these things ticked off for the start of September.
